First Aid Training with Partners
The Town of Malta’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office present STOP THE BLEED®.
 
Accidents at home; traffic accidents; workplace accidents; mass shootings, etc. – you never know when someone will suffer a severe injury and need immediate medical attention.  An ambulance is on the way, but the victim needs help now!
 
Minutes count!  Someone who is severely bleeding can bleed to death in as little as 5 minutes.  That’s why bleeding control – keeping the blood inside the body – is the purpose of STOP THE BLEED® training.
 
Through our STOP THE BLEED® course, you’ll gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and intervene effectively.  The person next to a bleeding victim may be the one who’s most likely to save him or her.  Take the course and become empowered to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency occurs.  STOP THE BLEED®.  Save a Life!
 
Attendees will receive a certificate acknowledging their successful completion of the course.

  • Take this training so that you have a better awareness of how to protect your family and turn your family into a ‘self-sufficient unit’ in the event of an emergency.
  • CERT training gives you the skills needed to help your community prepare better, respond safely and recover faster.
  • CERT training gives people the decision-making, organizational and practical skills to offer immediate assistance to family members, neighbors and associates while waiting for help.
