Dog Training

Is your dog hyper?  Does he come when he's called?  Would you like him to?  Dogs/puppies will learn commands such as: Come, Sit, Down, Stay Leave it, No jumping and to walk on a loose leash.   Treats will be used along with a leash to guide the puppy/dog into proper positions.
Please bring a 6 foot cotton or leather leash and small soft treats to class.  Any dogs over 6 months must be spayed or neutered.  All participants have to complete and sign a General Liability Agreement.  This signed agreement along with their vaccination record must be sent to sharonsdogtraining@gmail.com prior to first class.  The Agreement can be downloaded here or picked up at the Community Center.

Puppy Class:
Puppies must be at least 3 months to at or under 5 months old.  Must be current on their vaccinations.  Issues such as nipping, house training and other concerns will be addressed.

Basic Class:
This class is for dogs 5 months and older.  Please bring to the instructor's attention any issues you are having with your dog.  No dogs in heat are allowed in class.  Any dogs showing signs of aggression towards other dogs or people are not allowed in class, but strongly encouraged to schedule a private lesson.

General Information
  • Instructor: Sharon Gillis
  • Dogs must be non-aggressive toward other people and dogs and be up to date on their vaccinations.
  • Puppies must be at least 3 months old
  • All participants will sign a general liability agreement before class.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and gym shoes.
  • Bring a 6ft. leash and small soft treats.
