How It Works
We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check.
A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.
Zumba Dance Fitness with Cathy Kopa
An hour of Zumba dance fitness will transport you as you move to music from around the world along with a few songs you know with easy to follow moves, interval training principles working all muscle groups. The result is an hour of fun and fitness with sweat and smiles guaranteed. All levels welcome, no experience needed, modifications shown. Cathy Kopa is a fun high energy licensed instructor with more than 5 years experience teaching.
Zumba Gold with Bernadette Knight
Zumba Gold is for the Active older adult who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong. The Benefits of the class focuses on all the elements of fitness: cardiovascular, muscular conditioning, flexibility and balance! This class is taught by Bernadette Knight who is a experienced instructor who makes the class fun and a great place to meet new friends.
Class will take place at the Malta Community Center gym. Masks must be worn for the entire class.
Safety Protocols: Participants will remain 6 feet apart in a boxed outlined on the gym floor.
