|The Malta Community Park is located in a forest of pine trees. The sandy plain area, which used to be an old glacial lake, is the active recreational area of the park. A nature trail follows the valley of a small stream where there is an abundance of wildflowers, ferns, mosses, and other vegetation. The paved trail to this park is the Parade Ground Trail.
|There is no alcohol, no littering, and no hunting allowed in Town parks, and please, leave the park as you find it. Pets are allowed, leashed, on trails but prohibited on the active areas of the parks and fields. All animal waste must be removed by the owner from the grounds. Parties of 15 or more people are required to reserve a pavilion.
|Head east from exit 12 of the Northway (Rte. 87) on Rte. 67
Continue straight east across Rte. 9 onto Dunning Street (Rte. 67 turns south here)
Dunning becomes Plains Road and the park is on your left approximately two miles from the Northway
